The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies to the community.
SASSA will probably be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency claimed it's alarmed concerning the superior variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your high amount of clients/beneficiaries here to access SASSA services.
“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office committed to service the area every day. The company stage developed for intervention ordeals a large SRD influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it hard for that Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more resources to permit the servicing of all shoppers and increase access to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
